Dr. Walton is actively engaged in the continuing instruction of both optometrists and ophthalmologists through lectures, surgery courses, and University Grand Rounds settings. He is a surgeon for emerging visual technologies in clinical trials and enjoys teaching advanced cataract surgery techniques to ophthalmology residents as a frequent faculty member for graduate medical education events, having instructed over 335 surgeons from the United States and Canada.
